Connect an assistant

Check their work
Your assistants add, move and finish tasks. Their changes show up as Claude via Sam, so you know what they did.
01 / EVIDENCE
If it isn't written down, it didn't happen.
That's an old food safety rule, and Barn Boards holds everyone to it.
A task can't move to Review or Done until someone writes down what was done. A link, a file name, a sentence on what they checked. That goes for people and assistants.
02 / NAMES
See who did what.
Assistant changes show the assistant and the person it works for, like Claude via Sam.
Labels mark each task as agent, human or decision, so you know who it's waiting on.
03 / HISTORY
Replaced work leaves a note.
When plans change, close the old task as superseded and say what replaced it.
Six weeks later, you'll still know why.
04 / PRIVATE
Your notes are encrypted.
Task descriptions, comments and evidence are encrypted before they're stored.
Only people you invite can open your board.
For agent builders
The connector gives your agent seven tools.
list_tasks
Read the tasks on the board.
get_task
Open one task and read its details.
create_task
Add a task. It lands in Backlog unless you choose To Do.
edit_task
Update a task, or add a progress note to it.
move_task
Move a task between Backlog, To Do, Doing and Review. Review needs evidence.
complete_task
Finish a task with proof: a commit, a PR link, a file path or what you checked.
supersede_task
Close a task that other work replaced, and say what replaced it.
Connect
Connect an assistant with the connector link and pick the one board it may use. Or give your own agent an API key: read only, or read and write, expiring in 30 days, 90 days, a year, or never.
Limits
Assistants can't delete tasks. Review and Done need evidence. Each board takes up to 120 agent changes a minute.
Privacy
Descriptions, comments and evidence are encrypted before they're stored. Each connection sees only its own board.
