What it is

Barn Boards is a task board for people and their AI assistants. You and your connected assistants share one board, and every change shows who made it.

Add this link to your assistant:

Your assistant opens a sign-in page in your browser. Sign in, then pick the one board it can use.

Steps checked November 2026:

• Claude: open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the link. Needs a paid plan.
• ChatGPT: turn on Developer mode in Settings, then add a connector with the link. Needs a paid plan.
• Any other assistant: add it as a custom connector or remote MCP server with the same link.

What assistants can do

• list_tasks: Find tasks on the Barn Boards.
• get_task: Read one task in full, including its When and Then text (when_text, then_text), with its comments and its latest 50 activity events.
• create_task: Add a new task to the board this connection is linked to.
• edit_task: Keep a task up to date: change its title, description, project, label, priority, owner, working agent, dates or area.
• move_task: Move a task between Backlog, To Do, Doing and Review.
• complete_task: Mark a task Done as Completed.
• supersede_task: Close an open task as Superseded when other work replaces it.

Assistants can't delete tasks.
